He has a lifelong passion for aviation and, at the same time, a thorough understanding and experience in market research and business development, both at a local and at an international level. He has worked as the intermediary in developing business between the Netherlands and South(ern) Africa, including airport development, and he has completed research for major companies and bodies, such as Schiphol Airport and the Dutch Council of the Judiciary. He is co-founder of the company Mercury Systems B.V. which provides digital and compliance solutions to the unmanned aviation industry.

Associate Technical Staff
Kara Breeden is an Associate Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the Air Traffic Control mission area. At Lincoln Laboratory, her works includes the development of the Next-Generation Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS X) where she focused on the small UAS variant with terrain-awareness features. She also works on the AI Testbed for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM-Gym) focusing on hierarchical tactical deconfliction. Kara is an AIAA Senior Member and holds a M.Sc.Eng. in Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania.
